it's my sweet beginning

The inaugural blog post is kind of a daunting thing to write. I would know - I have only tried to write this one about eight or nine times. In my mind it is one of those things you want to get right, like the introduction or blurb on the back of a book- if you don't hook the reader right there and then what's to keep them reading the rest of it right? 

I have wanted to write a blog for a while now but couldn't quite decide on the specifics like what I actually wanted to write about and most importantly what I would name my blog. After much deliberation and what appeared to be a never ending quest for a name that suited and was not already taken - I decided on The Playlist of Life. 

Music undoubtably plays a major role in my life. I love blasting music through my car speakers, running down the road to my aptly named 'We Run This' playlist, going to gigs, discovering new music on iTunes, being dragged into an endless YouTube recommended video cycle while watching music videos and talking to others about music they love. This love of music has also encouraged me to study a degree in Sound Production which so far has been amazing.

Anyway back to the blog I am hoping to include live and album reviews, playlist ideas/my favourite playlists, recommendations, inspiring lyrics and some music news, so if this sounds like something you would be interested in be sure to check out my future posts.

PS. I kinda have this thing with naming playlists after either song titles or song lyrics so I thought I would continue the tradition with naming my posts the same way :) I will try to remember to include the title of said song in case you want to check it out. This post was named after 'What You Know' by Two Door Cinema Club
